About The Position

We are seeking a professional, innovative and detail-oriented individual for our Welding Process Engineer position within our Vertical Integration Division. If you are looking for a welding engineering role supporting new manufacturing initiatives, working to military specifications, and leading cross-functional projects in pursuit of problem solving in world class manufacturing facilities, then this position could be for you!

Requirements

• US Citizen
• B.S. in Welding Engineering or related technical field
• Knowledgeable in welding metallurgy and GTAW and GMAW processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and can effectively manage projects
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Quick to learn new skills and open to taking on new responsibilities
• Enjoy working in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing and supporting welding processes in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive experience working in accordance with standards/specifications, especially military or aerospace specifications
• Working knowledge of NDT processes
• Hands-on experience with welding and fabrication processes

Responsibilities

• Provide welding engineering support to design, fabrication, and support teams
• Specify, develop, implement, and sustain welding and welding-related processes
• Improve quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of welding processes in accordance with strategic objectives
• Apply problem solving skills to identify root cause
• Evaluate new equipment and processes
• Interpret results and provide recommendations to management
