About The Position

Monroe Truck Equipment is passionate about providing on-site, paid training for people interested in a Welding career! If you have never welded before, but have always had an interest, we can train you in MIG welding. This is a great opportunity for people looking to transition to a new career! The 6-week gas metal arc welding (GMAW) on-the-job training program is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to understand the GMAW process, use proper safety precautions for arc welding, learn the impact of key variables on weld integrity and identify weld defects, interpret blueprints utilized in the welding environment, and create an understanding of Monroe Truck Equipment's workmanship standards. As a welder, you will be responsible for safely preparing metal for weld operations per our customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering.
