About The Position

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a Welding Instructor for the Career & Tech Center at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). PCCUA is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas with academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs. The Welding Instructor will be responsible for teaching, developing, and updating welding and related courses, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and preparing students for NCCER certification. The role also involves assisting with program recruiting.

Requirements

  • Associates of Applied Science degree in welding or related field.
  • Applicants with teaching experience or work experience will be given preference.
  • Experience with welding or HVAC desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Master Welding Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, develop and update welding and related courses for the Career and Technical Center.
  • Teach all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Instruct and prepare students to take and pass NCCER certification.
  • Assist with program recruiting.
