About The Position

McNICHOLS is hiring a Welding and Warehouse Supervisor to join its Hole team and support the operations of a metal service center. This working supervisor role combines managing warehouse operations with hands-on use of machinery. The supervisor will hire, mentor, and train a team of up to 10 employees and work with the management team to coordinate branch productivity, efficiency, and safety. Welding and/or saw experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

3–5 years of team lead or supervisory experience, including leading, delegation, and decision making.
Working knowledge of shop math and design drawings.
Experience with all types of tools.
Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Experience with inventory management software.
Knowledge of general business and management principles, including standard financial metrics and employment practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask.
High professionalism and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience is preferred.
Experience working in an ISO or quality-regulated environment is preferred.
Welding and/or saw experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Fabricate orders to customer specifications, including cutting and preparing orders for shipment.
Train and mentor branch staff.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Manage and sustain communication and productive relationships with McNICHOLS vendors and suppliers.
Monitor quality and performance metrics and make improvements as needed.
Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Complete cycle counts and manage inventory adjustments.
Work with third-party logistics carriers to provide on-time delivery of McNICHOLS products.
Hire and lead a team of up to 10 employees.
Coordinate branch productivity, efficiency, and safety with the management team.
Manage warehouse operations and use machinery.
