About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead and manage the welding team. The role is responsible for ensuring welding activities comply with company standards and safety protocols and meet project deadlines. The Welding Supervisor oversees production welds for bakery machinery construction while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of welding experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding and laser beam welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with stainless steel and other metals commonly used in machinery manufacturing.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team, provide constructive feedback, and improve performance.
• Strong attention to quality control and ability to detect and correct welding defects.
• Ability to diagnose welding-related issues and implement effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience, particularly with food or bakery equipment.
• Welding certifications such as AWS, CWB, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor welders in TIG (primarily), MIG, robotic, and laser welding techniques, ensuring work meets quality and production schedule standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment, enforce safety regulations, and regularly inspect equipment and workspaces.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and precision and ensure compliance with industry standards, blueprints, and bakery machinery specifications.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to complete welding tasks on schedule.
• Identify and resolve welding issues by adjusting techniques, tools, or materials as needed.
• Maintain records of welding procedures, work progress, and quality inspections.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
