School of BTT Welding Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)
About The Position
Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time Welding Adjunct Faculty for the School of Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT). This is a two-year public institution of higher education operating under the Virginia Community College System. The college is located on a 70-acre campus in southwest Roanoke, VA, serving a region that includes Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Craig County, Franklin County, and southern Botetourt County. Established in 1966, Virginia Western Community College currently serves over 9,000 students in credit courses and more than 1,400 in workforce and continuing education courses. Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. They are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education, and to be active participants in departmental communication. Applications will be reviewed continuously until needed positions are filled.
Requirements
- Experience in welding.
- Knowledge of current trends in welding and community college education.
Responsibilities
