ASSA ABLOY is currently looking for Welders of all levels of experience for their Southwest Service Center located in Ontario, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, seaming, and grinding steel doors and frames. The team is growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join them. Requirements

• 2+ years of recent MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings and a tape measure.
• Previous working knowledge or desire to learn hand tools and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail to produce high-quality welds.
• Ability to stand regularly and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welding, seaming, and grinding steel doors and frames.
• Reading manufacturing drawings.
• Operating MIG welders; grinders; buffers; shears; OBI punches, saws.
• Grinding and/or sanding/buffing doors and/or frames to prepare them for painting.
• Applying and finishing body filler compound.
• Monitoring the welding process to avoid overheating or warping of the metal.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
