About The Position

For over 70 years, Tri-Arc Manufacturing has been offering state-of-the-art, steel configurable ladder and platform products. Located 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, Tri-Arc proudly carries on Pittsburgh’s steel city industrial history by manufacturing our products at home in the U.S. Tri-Arc is an industry leader with the widest variety and highest quality of custom fabricated climbing products, specializing in the U-Design Configurable Products tailoring to the needs of our customers to operate safely and efficiently. Tri-Arc has immediate openings on 1st Shift(M-F 6:00AM - 2:30PM) and 2nd shift ( M-F 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) Mig Welder/Fabricators, Monday to Friday. These are full-time positions and Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate along with a generous benefit package. Tri-Arc also offers a generous benefit package, and the right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. All candidates are required to take and pass a welding test and bring their own welding gear. Requirements

  • 6 + months of welding experinece
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Required to take and pass a welding test
  • Bring their own welding gear

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
  • Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together (usually in fixtures).
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Operates various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment.
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
