Welds components by calculating requirements; studying metals; determining welding techniques; cleaning, preparing, cutting, burning and welding pieces.
Requirements
- High School diploma, or equivalent, and successful completion of an internal welding test
- One-year experience in various forms of welding
- Welds components by calculating requirements; studying metals; determining welding techniques; cleaning, preparing, cutting, burning and welding pieces.
Responsibilities
- Make weld fixtures.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Anticipate manufacturing problems and suggest solutions to those problems.
- Do quality checks to meet specified standards prior to shipment to customer.
- Show continuous improvement in skills and displays good attitude towards personal growth.
- Show continued improvement in metal finishing.
- Assist management as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
