About The Position
U.S. Bridge is seeking a Welder in Cambridge, Ohio. The Welder performs weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, and other instructions. The position works in a manufacturing facility and may involve working near loud and moving mechanical equipment. Hearing and eye protection are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
- One year of experience in various forms of welding.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned welding techniques.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology.
- Select and apply wire and filler materials for steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
- Set up fixtures and welding parameters, including amperage and voltage.
- Use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation.
- Maintain welding equipment.
- Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools.
- Follow safety and housekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.
