About The Position

This position involves performing Mig and Tig welding on steel and aluminum sign components, fabricating sign structures according to blueprint drawings, and cutting and fitting materials using various shop equipment. The role also requires inspecting finished welds for quality and accuracy, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, grinding, tack welding, and welding steel components. The applicant must be physically fit, capable of standing, bending, lifting, and demonstrating dexterity. Compensation is based on related skills and experience, with a potential premium for a valid welding certificate.

Requirements

• Valid certification in 47.1 and 47.2
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform Mig and Tig on welding steel and aluminum sign components
• Fabricate sign structures according to blueprint drawings
• Cut and fit material using saws, shears, brakes and other shop equipment
• Inspect finished welds quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Measuring, cutting, grinding, tack welding and welding steel components
• Applicant must be physically fit as this position requires dexterity and a lot of standing and bending and lifting
