Production Worker - Welder

About The Position
Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner. Employee will be required to learn our method of welding mig. Also required to learn and use a cutting torch properly. Must learn how to layout a chassis and assemble it per our DAPIA requirement. There are multiple jobs set forth in preparing for the following day, from cutting stack to prepping hitch plates.
Requirements
- Previous experience in welding desired
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
- Must understand safety procedures
- Must have good teamwork skills
- Must live the Champion Operating Principles
- Must be able to pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen

Responsibilities
- Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
- Read blueprints and orders
- Communicate well with coworkers
- Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
- Welding, wiring, painting of chassis
