About The Position

We have been in business for 100 years and are leaders in the Commercial Outdoor Decor industry. We distribute holiday decorations, banners, and flags to municipalities, non-profits, and corporations throughout the United States. We are seeking an experienced welder to specialize in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of commercial holiday outdoor decorations. Welders are responsible for joining metal parts and filling holes of metal components by using various welding techniques. As a welder, you will ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of our decorative products, contributing to our high-quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to safely use 4 ½ grinders with flapper wheels and wire wheels
Knowledge of MIG welding in both steel and aluminum
Ability to select appropriate welding rods and metals based on the welding specifications
Familiarity with different welding techniques and equipment
Knowledge of how to prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting to ensure proper welds
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
Ability to collaborate with other team members
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Welding experience required
Metal shop experience required

Nice To Haves

Welding certification or apprenticeship preferred
Knowledge of aluminum welding
Programming experience a plus
Comfortable working in various conditions, including both hot and cold temperatures
