About The Position
LaForce is looking for a skilled Welder to join our Metal Frame Production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling hollow metal door frames using MIG welding and a variety of hand and power tools. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in precision work, we want to hear from you! Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:30am - 12:30pm Pay: $20/hr. and up based on experience.
Requirements
- Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions.
- Comfortable with hand tools and material handling.
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification (we’ll train).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Responsibilities
- Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings and work orders.
- Grind and prep welds to meet quality and finish standards.
- Use MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools.
- Move materials using forklifts and carts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
