Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety practices across different types of machinery and processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with tools and machinery used in metalworking, welding, fiber laser and press brake.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to switch between different tasks and machines as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or vocational certification in metalworking (optional but advantageous)

Responsibilities

  • MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing.
  • Spot weld set up and operation.
  • Stud weld set up and operation.
  • Familiarity with various metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum
  • Distribute finished work to subsequent work centers.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Strong ability to use various measuring tools accurately.
  • Read, interpret, and understand work orders, drawings, and production schedules to determine specifications, such as material to be used, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Inspect the materials and finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
