About The Position
The Welder is responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment and monitoring the process and product quality. The employee makes necessary process corrections to maintain a steady flow of quality products for customers. The role involves welding components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels and inspecting the product using required gauges and criteria. Responsibilities
- Read prints and locate piece parts.
- Set operational parameters on the machine and monitor; make corrections as needed.
- Position, align, and fit components together.
- Weld fabricated, cast, and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
- Complete first article inspection before starting a run.
- Monitor product quality using required gauges and inspection criteria.
- Operate lifting devices as needed.
