About The Position

The Welder role involves preparing, arranging, fitting, and assembling various materials such as stainless steel, nickel alloy, and Hast-X using TIG welding processes. The position requires strong assessment of weld parameter inputs with the ability to make adjustments during welding, and the interpretation and execution of production using drawings and blueprints. Responsibilities include completing necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately, performing precision measurements with tools like micrometers, calipers, and CMMs, and collaborating in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity. The role also entails taking ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency, and utilizing computer programs for data entry and accessing work instructions. Additionally, the welder will use work instructions, set-up sheets, fixtures, and method documents to correctly set up parts for welding. The position requires the ability to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited welding program OR 1 year of industrial TIG welding experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Perform shop math
• Use precision measurement equipment
• Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding
• Able to pass a 6G weld test on Stainless and Nickel

Responsibilities

• Prepare, arrange, fit, and assemble a variety of materials (stainless, nickel alloy, Hast-X) and components using tig welding processes and procedures
• Strong assessment of weld parameter inputs with the ability to make adjustments during welding
• Interpret and execute production using drawings and blueprints
• Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and in a timely manner after completing work orders
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs
• Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency
• Utilize computer programs to enter part data (e.g., serial number), log time, and look up work instructions
• Utilize work instructions, set-up sheets, fixtures and method documents to correctly set up parts to be welded
• Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation
