About The Position

The Maintenance Welder performs repairs and maintenance on vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, and fabricated components. The role involves welding steel and aluminum, shaping and cutting steel, fabricating truck components, following safety procedures, and completing required paperwork. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Attention to detail.
• Communication skills, including conveying information in timely and accurate written reports.
• Customer service skills and a professional, courteous, and cooperative approach.
• Dependability, including punctuality and adherence to the established work schedule.
• Ethical conduct and adherence to company policies and rules.
• Safety orientation, including recognizing hazards and following and promoting safety procedures.
• Troubleshooting ability, including diagnosing equipment problems, identifying root causes, and selecting appropriate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weld repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, and fabricated components.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and arc welding equipment.
• Bend steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components on trucks.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
