About The Position

This position involves welding parts for fixed equipment that require repair, as well as welding new parts for assembly. The role also includes building up worn parts, repairing cracks in mobile equipment like material handler booms, and constructing various structures such as platforms, stairs, catwalks, guardrails, and equipment supports. Additionally, the position requires installing conduit, fasteners, hooks, and pulleys. A significant aspect of the job involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, including effective housekeeping for safety and hygiene, organizing materials for efficient space utilization, and proper waste disposal. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
Must pass a background check.
Ability to communicate with others effectively.
Ability to understand direction (written or oral).
Ability to use basic math skills as the job demands.

Nice To Haves

Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions.
High school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable.
Bi-lingual (English & Spanish language skills a plus.
Welding school or certification preferred.
Previous experience scrap metal recycling a plus.
Forklift experience a plus.

Inspection to ensure cleanup is completed.
Effective housekeeping in workplace area is an ongoing operation for safety and better hygienic conditions for all team members.
