About The Position
To layout, cut, weld, and assemble structural framework from materials such as aluminum and stainless pipe, plate, and extrusions. A mixture of GMAW and GTAW is involved in this process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May be certified AWS/ASTM Welding in MIG & TIG.
- Certified use of an overhead crane and steel handling equipment, Hazmat required.
- Will train in-house before crane use.
Responsibilities
- Works with aluminum and some stainless-steel pipe and plate to produce various sizes of common and custom vaporizers.
- Cut, grind, drill, weld, and test products according to blueprint specifications.
- Read and follow blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications.
- Lays out, cut, drill, shape, and finish parts for assembly.
- Create and use jigs as necessary to assist in efficient productive habits.
- Compares dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Cleans work area during and at the end of each shift.
- Follows daily production schedules outlined by the group lead or supervisor.
- Follows clear, well-defined blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
- Proper use of fabrication equipment to cut and weld raw material.
