About The Position

As a Welder in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling metal components that meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and durability of products made from various metals including stainless steel and aluminum. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to execute welding tasks using multiple techniques such as arc, MIG, and TIG welding. This role demands a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, your work will contribute directly to the production of high-quality manufactured goods that meet customer and industry requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in arc welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work in mechanically inclined positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a recognized welding program or institution.
  • Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum materials.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work overtime and flexible hours when required.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices in welding.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations using arc, MIG, and TIG welding techniques on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements and sequence of operations.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
  • Operate metal fabrication equipment and tools safely and efficiently to prepare materials for welding.
  • Engage in heavy lifting and mechanical positioning of metal components to facilitate precise welding.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines and support team objectives.
