About The Position

The Container Welder/ Fabricator repairs, paints and performs maintenance to containers and roll-off boxes. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers, welding steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment, and fabricating steel components using a brake and shear. The welder will also cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch, fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors, install lids and wheels on containers, and paint repaired containers. Additionally, the position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, completion of required paperwork, and installation of company and safety decals. More complex repairs should be referred to the Supervisor.

Requirements

Certified welder.
Advanced knowledge of mig &stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint Sprayers.
Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
Minimum of 1 year welding experience OR COMPLETION OF A WELDING PROGRAM.

Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.
