About The Position

Responsible for Welding (TIG and Laser) components with varying thicknesses from .040” to .25”. Join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming our manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiency and excellence.

Requirements

  • Proficient in tig welding thin gauge sheet steel and aluminum is necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality welds using TIG and/or Laser processes.
  • Knowledge of metals and characteristics of different alloys.
  • Read and understand blueprints and welding callouts in designs.
  • Use various measuring methods and tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Operate manual welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch or similar for cutting, heating, or brazing.
  • Conduct assessments to verify critical weld requirements are met.
  • Understand fixturing and use of tools to achieve proper fitment of parts prior to welding.
  • Proper use of all necessary safety protocols and personal protective equipment.
  • Communicate effectively to work in a team environment to ensure safe and efficient work and help drive continual improvement.
