About The Position

The Welder performs day-to-day welding and fabrication duties in a warehouse environment. The role involves reading blueprints and sketches, selecting and using appropriate tools and equipment, welding metal components, monitoring equipment, and assessing materials and job specifications to determine suitable welding positions. It also includes project management and fabrication work, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and maintaining professionalism. The position requires flexibility and availability for weekends, after-hours work, and additional hours as needed to complete daily orders.

Requirements

• Mathematically and mechanically inclined.
• Previous welding and fabrication experience.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of pipe welding experience.
• MIG/TIG certification.
• Able to meet physical demands typical of a warehouse environment, including grasping and fine hand manipulations, reaching, squatting, climbing, and working around moving machinery, temperature and humidity changes, light dust, and fumes.
• Able to assist with lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Able to perform prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and sketches to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
• Use electricity and torches to solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals.
• Select and use appropriate tools and equipment for each task, such as tape measures and calipers.
• Monitor equipment for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions.
• Perform project management and fabrication.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain professionalism in the workplace.
• Perform other assigned proprietary duties.
• Work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily.
