Welder
About The Position
The Container Welder/ Fabricator repairs, paints and performs maintenance to containers and roll-off boxes. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers, welding steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment, and fabricating steel components using a brake and shear. The position also requires cutting steel using a plasma cutter or torch, fabricating steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors, installing lids and wheels on containers, and painting repaired containers. The Welder/Fabricator must follow all safety policies and procedures, complete required paperwork, and install company and safety decals in accordance with company standard diagrams. They may also perform other job-related duties as assigned and refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Certified welder.
- Advanced knowledge of mig &stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint Sprayers.
- Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
- Minimum of 1 year welding experience OR COMPLETION OF A WELDING PROGRAM.
