About The Position
Join a team specializing in precision fabrication and security installations. This contract role offers steady work, competitive pay of $26-$29 per hour, and projects throughout Decatur, Stone Mountain, Tucker, Lithonia, Conyers, and Snellville, GA, all within approximately a 40-mile radius of Decatur.
Requirements
- Journeyman Welder
- Complete tasks as assigned by the site supervisor
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Must pass drug screen and all required background checks.
- Strong MIG/TIG welding experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on active job sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on detention hinges, lock boxes, mounting plates, filler plates, and other security components.
- Cut, grind, fit, and position materials for welding.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Support field installation projects at customer sites throughout the local area.
- Maintain welding equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Work closely with installation teams to complete projects on schedule.
