About The Position

Advance Storage Products is seeking reliable, long-term employees to join its manufacturing team. Welders produce work to customer specifications using job work orders and blueprints, work closely with other manufacturing departments, and maintain a safe, lean workspace. The role supports and encourages continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Welding diploma or applicable years of experience.
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Successful completion of an internal welding test.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout a 10-hour shift.
Willingness to cross-train in other areas.

Responsibilities

Use assigned welding techniques to produce work to customer specifications.
Interpret shop drawings, including weld wire symbology.
Apply knowledge of wire and filler materials for various steel alloys, aluminum, and galvanized metal.
Use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
Conduct process inspections and complete certification and documentation.
Maintain welding equipment.
Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools.
Follow daily safety and housekeeping practices.
Cross-train in other areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
