About The Position

This position involves performing welding tasks according to blueprints and specifications. The welder will be responsible for setting up equipment, performing various types of welding, and ensuring the quality and safety of their work. The role also includes operating machinery, repairing equipment, and testing welded structures.

Requirements

1 year of welding experience or equivalent welding education.
Familiarity with using a variety of welding equipment, machinery and procedures.
Familiarity in using electrical documents and drawings.
Good knowledge of adherence to safety standards.
Attention to detail.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
Good time-management skills.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings.
Take and read measurements.
Follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, according to print.
Perform welding in all positions.
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
Repair machinery.
Plan layouts and procedures.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used.
Set up components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
Report damage to machines and equipment.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
Run Mig, Spray Arch and Flux Core welding.
