This position will work within teams to weld aluminum and steel enclosed and aluminum open trailer frames. The role requires adherence to health and safety rules, proper use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and blueprints. Responsibilities include operating various welding machines and tools, understanding and applying different weld types, joint types, and weld pass positions, and performing MIG welding on aluminum and steel, as well as TIG welding on aluminum. The welder will also be responsible for using framing jigs, working in multiple workstations, ensuring correct axle placement and squareness, measuring and squaring linears before final welds, installing ramp doors/gates plumb and square, grinding welds as needed, inspecting work for completion, storing tools and materials properly, and maintaining a clean shop floor.
