About The Position

Motis Manufacturing Center is seeking a full-time Welder for their facility in Germantown, WI. This position involves a 12-hour weekend shift, from 6 am to 6 pm, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Motis Manufacturing Center has been a leader in manufacturing lightweight aluminum ramp systems for over 30 years, utilizing innovative designs and lightweight aluminum alloys to provide safe and cost-effective solutions for loading, hauling, and transportation challenges. Their aluminum products are superior to steel alternatives due to their rust-proof nature, ease of handling, and robust construction.

Responsibilities

Specializing in joining pieces of aluminum together using MIG welding techniques.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications to determine appropriate welding techniques and materials.
Operating and maintaining welding equipment, including MIG welders, and other tools.
Setting up the MIG welding machine to appropriate settings for the specific job.
Following established welding procedures to ensure finished products meet quality and safety standards.
Inspecting completed welds for defects and performing necessary repairs.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including keeping welding equipment in good condition and properly storing materials.
Communicating with supervisors and team members regarding project requirements, progress, and issues.
Maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.
Adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
Continuously learning and improving welding skills and techniques.
Passing AWS qualification within the first 90 days of hire.
