About The Position

Prince Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a full-time welder (hand & robotic) for their Brookings, SD location. This role involves continuous learning of different manufacturing processes such as assembly, paint, and machining. The position operates on a Monday-Thursday schedule with 10-hour shifts, starting at either 5:00 AM or 7:00 AM. This schedule ensures no nights, weekends, or holidays. Employees are expected to be flexible and willing to float between departments and tasks based on production needs.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old.
Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
Must have basic computer skills including operation of a mouse and keyboard.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds and have strong grip strength.

Nice To Haves

Hand Welding Experienced is preferred.
The ability to use tools will be extremely helpful.

Responsibilities

Hand weld and use a robotic welder to weld parts together, and perform other tasks such as thermal cutting or grinding.
Set up and operate CNC and other machines to produce precision parts.
Assemble and test hydraulic cylinders, including arranging parts, washing, stamping, and packing parts, operating assembly equipment, and testing cylinders.
Use a forklift to transfer materials.
Operate the paint system, including preparing surfaces, mixing paint using the ProMix system, and painting surfaces.
Perform various transactions using computer software.
Use a variety of tools and precision instruments to meet specifications outlined in blueprints and test tolerances, check for defects, and verify conformance to standards.
Actively practice safety rules.
