About The Position

The Welder fabricates components by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assemblies; calculating requirements; studying metals; and determining appropriate welding techniques. The role gathers equipment and materials based on specifications and component requirements, including ordering supplies and gases. It uses equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld materials, sets up and measures assemblies, and selects suitable fabrication methods. The Welder inspects and tests welds, completes records, follows safety procedures and legal regulations, and maintains equipment through troubleshooting, supply management, preventive maintenance, and repair coordination. The role also completes related work as needed to support manufacturing and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
