About The Position
The Sub Arc/ Mig / Tig / Stick / Spay Arc welding position is responsible for welding pressure containing equipment, fabricate skids, weld baseplates, and do general weld repairs to quality specifications.
Requirements
- Two years experience operating a Sub Arc/ Mig / Stick welding machines required
- Ability to communicate with others
- Perform basic math functions to include (add, subtract, multiple, and divide and use fractions and decimals)
- Read micrometers and tape measures
- Must have a mechanical aptitude
- Use of a variety of hand and power tools
- Meticulous attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred or 1 year of Mig / Tig / Stick experience or training
Responsibilities
- Work from specification sheets, work orders and verbal directions
- Maintain continual visual inspection of product and process for proper positions, welding, and cutting
- Perform prescribed quality checks
- Inform supervisor or lead of problems, equipment breakdowns, or unusual operating conditions
- Use a variety of hand tools, tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and other necessary measuring devices
- Maintain necessary records
- Move material as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Maintain quality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
