About The Position
U.S. Pipe is seeking a Welder to join their team. This position is responsible for laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. The company has been providing quality water and wastewater products since 1899 and supports local governments, municipalities, water departments, and businesses across the United States and the world.
Requirements
- Must pass A.W.S. welding test, either X ray or U.T.
- Must have full knowledge of all kinds of welding work and equipment.
- Must be safety conscious at all times.
Responsibilities
- Does all work required of Welder “B”.
- Does all types of submerge arc welding.
- Does layout work and works from blueprints on difficult jobs without supervision.
- Does special repair and construction jobs as required.
- Does maintenance welding as required.
- Assigns work in absence of group leader or foreman.
- Responsible for good housekeeping of work area.
- Does other work as assigned by supervisor.
