About The Position

Amalgamated Sugar Company, a leader in innovation in the sugar industry, is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder for our Twin Falls, Idaho facility. This heavy-duty labor position involves performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks throughout the sugar factory and its properties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The hourly rate for this position is between $33.28 and $37.13.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must successfully pass the ASME 6G factory welding test (carbon steel and stainless steel)
Must be able to reliably commute to Twin Falls, ID or plan to relocate before starting work

Responsibilities

Perform welding on both carbon steel and stainless steel in an industrial factory setting
Work rotating 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as required
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Climb stairs and ladders while performing duties
Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold), both indoors and outdoors
Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas
Perform other related duties as assigned
