About The Position

US Chemical Storage, a growing family of industrial safety companies under the Justrite Safety Group, designs and manufactures safe, compliant prefabricated chemical storage buildings. We are seeking a Welder to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting chemical storage buildings. The Welder will be responsible for all welding tasks, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area. This role requires a hardworking, reliable individual with good communication and organizational skills, excellent hand dexterity, and a keen eye for detail. The ability to work with minimal supervision while adhering to all health and safety standards is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience welding Hot Roll Mild Steel, Galvanized, and Structural steel is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of measurements using a tape measure.
• Good physical condition and endurance.
• Ability to work in high heat conditions.
• Wear all required PPE including: steel toed shoes and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

• Perform all welding parts with safety, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Accurately read blueprints, drawings, and take accurate measurements to ensure quality and accurate welds.
• Use hand tools such as MIG welders, plasma cutters, grinders, hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing square, and edging tools.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on welding machines, including torch maintenance, changing weld leads, wire liners, wire feed rollers, weld wire, and other consumables.
• Complete inspections and conduct repairs as needed.
• Work on top of ladders and roofs of building structures.
