About The Position

Primoris Energy Services Corp is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team, responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding processes, ensuring high-quality and safe execution of projects.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited welding program or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in the energy services or construction industry.
Proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics.
Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Must successfully pass all required site weld testing prior to starting work.

Responsibilities

Perform welding duties using various processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW according to specifications and blueprints.
Cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment.
Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including arc welders, grinders, and torches.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Participate in pre-job planning and safety meetings.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
