Requirements

  • Three years of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or Completion of a three-year, high school Vo-Tech training program in welding and eighteen months of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or Completion of an approved welder apprentice program; or A welding certificate D1.1 from the American Welding Society; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting on ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Repair department machinery including plow frames, blades, spreaders, and related components
  • Create replacement or custom parts to support equipment modification and repair needs
  • Operate power tools, air tools, and motorized equipment safely during welding and fabrication tasks
  • Complete minor mechanical work such as mounting and removing plow frames and chemical tanks
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area while following environmental and safety practices
