About The Position

The Welder performs welding and related maintenance operations across all areas. The role includes fabricating and arranging parts, setting up welding and cutting equipment, operating a motor vehicle, and following applicable safety requirements. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though hours may vary based on weather and customer demand. The position requires handling heavy materials and equipment and performing physically demanding tasks. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one, and must provide their own hand tools. A CDL is desirable. Employment is subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, saws, and related fabricating, maintenance, and safety equipment.
• Technical skills, safety skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle heavy materials and equipment and perform tasks requiring strength and endurance.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and related maintenance for all areas.
• Lay out and arrange parts for different types of fabrication.
• Set machines for welding operations, including stick, aluminum, and wire-feed welding.
• Set equipment for cutting operations.
