Welder- Day Shift
About The Position
ABW is looking for welders who are motivated and take pride in producing quality fabricated parts and meeting or exceeding customer requirements and schedules. Seeking skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate up to experienced aluminum and stainless steel TIG Fitter/Welders. On-site training is available for skill growth. Pay rates range across ABW's Welder I to Welder IV categories, based on welding processes, qualified positions, weld test results, and ability at the time of interview. ABW is a leader in the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear and Energy industries.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, certain individuals granted refugee status, certain individuals granted asylum).
Nice To Haves
- ASME pressure vessel / tank manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with nozzle schedules.
- Familiarity with weld maps.
- Flux core experience.
- Submerged arc experience.
Responsibilities
- Fit and weld components in accordance with weld procedures accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all fit-ups and welds are inspected by in-house and/or customer CWIs.
- Undergo in-house testing and certification.
- Be evaluated on ability to read and understand drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures.
