About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Welder to join its Baltimore, Maryland manufacturing team. The position focuses on fabricating and welding hazardous waste transportation containers in a controlled, safety-first environment, primarily working with carbon steel and MIG welding techniques.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of welding experience.
Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work at heights with proper fall protection.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.
Trade school or apprenticeship experience.
Ability to pass an additional welding test and respirator fit test.
Ability to safely set up and operate a hydraulic plate shear and press brake.

Responsibilities

Prioritize health and safety by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
Perform welding on carbon steel.
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Operate MIG welding equipment and set up and maintain welding machines.
Safely operate a forklift for material handling.
Wear appropriate safety equipment based on analysis of the job site and tasks, including a respirator if required.
Lay out, cut, and fit materials using measuring tapes, bandsaws, grinders, hoists, and assembly fixtures to fabricate assemblies precisely.
Set up welding equipment for weld procedures.
Maintain compliance with Clean Harbors safety protocols.
Keep the work area clean and organized and promptly report equipment issues.
