About The Position

Kinsley Steel is hiring a Welder to work on structural steel projects at its on-site facilities. The role involves welding structural steel parts from detailed drawings and marked-up weld symbols, with a focus on precision and meeting quality standards. Welders contribute to projects ranging from steel frameworks to fabricated metal components and collaborate with team members to ensure work is complete and meets quality expectations. The position requires safe and efficient operation of overhead cranes, air arc equipment, grinders, magnetic drills, and other trade tools. Welders must follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area. First- and second-shift positions are available; second-shift employees receive a $3.00-per-hour differential. Schedules may include overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

Pass a 3G weld test using 1/16th flux-core wire.
Have applicable experience with D1.1 codes and 2G/3G welding.
Have 3 years of experience operating overhead cranes.
Be willing to learn.
Be able to interpret fabrication and construction drawings.
Be flexible to work any schedule needed, including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
