This position involves welding a variety of steel types and thicknesses, with some aluminum work included. The primary welding process is GMAW (MIG) using semi-automatic and robotic equipment, with some GTAW (TIG) also performed. The role requires the ability to set up and operate welding equipment, including controlling gas flow rates, amperage, and voltage. Responsibilities also include performing simple maintenance on welding equipment, loading and operating weld fixtures, reading a tape measure, understanding weld symbols, completing simple shop math, and using plasma cutting, air-arc gouging, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment. Attendance is important, and overtime may be required. An additional 4% pay is available for employees who work their required weekly hours. A $2.00 per hour shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
