About The Position

This role involves inspecting machinery and equipment to identify hazards or issues requiring welding services. The welder will determine the reasons for malfunctions of metal components and create maintenance or repair plans. They will repair machinery and equipment to ensure full functioning capacity with moderate supervision. The position requires reviewing blueprints to understand equipment placement and comprehend its working for proper service and repairs. Additionally, the welder will maintain records of all maintenance and repair work, including supplies ordered and used, and ensure routine maintenance is performed on schedule to reduce risks and costs. Participation in equipment maintenance, moves, and installation projects is also expected. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to evolving job demands and may be expected to take on additional tasks to support team operations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery and equipment to identify any hazards or issues requiring welding services.
• Determines the reasons for any malfunctions of metal components, and creates a welding maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
• Repairs machinery and equipment so that they remain at full functioning capacity with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Reviews blueprints to understand the placement of equipment and machinery to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
• Keeps records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
• Ensures all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
• Participates in equipment maintenance, moves, and installation projects as needed.
• Takes on other tasks and assignments as required, including duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
