About The Position

Nexus Disposal is seeking a skilled Welder to perform repairs and maintenance on frontload and roll-off containers. This role involves fabricating steel components, assisting senior welders, and performing various metalworking tasks. The ideal candidate will have basic welding skills, knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

Basic skills in welding techniques.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing containers.
Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of containers, Skill in repair of special purpose equipment.
Ability to perform repairs on a variety of containers.
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
Basic understanding of drawings as it pertains to welding.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs and maintenance on frontload and roll-off containers.
Use of torches and hand grinders to cut steel.
Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers, and compacters.
Assists senior welders in the completion of project work.
Performs related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts.
Performs from verbal instructions.
Utilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment.
Maintains a clean work area in compliance with company standards.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
