About The Position

Universal Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Welder to work in a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment. The position welds carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material using predesigned blueprints. Compensation is up to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience. An offer is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Requirements

• A weld test is required.
• Ability to MIG weld.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Ability to lift 20 to 75 lbs.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• TIG welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components of products together.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material with electric arc-welding equipment.
• Operate the manufacturing computer system for shop orders and time-card data entry.
• Operate LP and/or electric fork trucks to gather parts for weldments and deliver finished weldments when necessary.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in a jig or fixture.
• Tack assemblies together.
