About The Position

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Welder to join its team in La Grange Park, Illinois. The Welder performs skilled welding and cutting using MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding equipment. Work may involve pipe, machine parts, metal structures, fixtures, and fittings, under the direct supervision of the Welding Prefab Manager and designated supervision. The work is primarily in a shop environment, with some field work. Travel to national projects may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school, a four-year apprenticeship, and/or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience as a journeyman-level welder.
• At least two years of experience in a shop or production facility.
• Technical proficiency with standard machine shop equipment, such as drill presses, band saws, and ironworkers, as well as related hand tools.
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the job duties, including heavy lifting.
• Ability to wear and use all personal protective equipment required to perform the job safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare objects for welding by cleaning and filing them, and positioning, aligning, and clamping loose parts.
• Evaluate, repair, and/or fabricate items as required.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and job specifications.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Use standard hand tools and power tools proficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment.
