Requirements

  • Ability to read and write, in order to follow written instructions and complete job-related paperwork.
  • Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands of a construction role, including: Standing for extended periods. Lifting and moving heavy materials. Working in various weather conditions. Adhering closely to safety protocols.
  • Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site. All candidates must be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certificate or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication facility and familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs welding work to specifications, as part of the manufacturing process, including set-up of welding equipment and safety devices following production documentation.
  • Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.
  • Maintains equipment and materials essential to complete the operation.
  • Performs work promptly to ensure production schedules are met, ensuring that all work produced meets quality specifications.
  • Performs transactions to maintain accurate records and inventory balance.
  • Selects and moves production materials as required.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
  • Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
