About The Position

We are currently hiring a 1st Shift Welder, starting at $19.50/hour. This role involves welding in a fast-paced production-style environment using wire feed arc welders on a welding line. The position requires repetitive lifting of materials and product up to 50 lbs, standing for the entire shift, and working at a steady pace to ensure the welding line runs smoothly. Responsibilities include troubleshooting weld problems and making adjustments, reading and interpreting blueprints or welding process specifications, identifying welding defects, assembling and MIG welding parts, conducting quality inspections, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accuracy of assigned tasks. Flexibility to assist in other areas of the department as needed is also required.

  • Must be able to report to work each day for your scheduled shift.
  • Team player, safety conscious, quality minded, good work habits and attendance
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Production type welding using wire feed arc welders on a welding line.
  • Repetitive lifting of materials and product throughout the process up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing at all jobs.
  • Working at a steady pace to keep the welding line running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot weld problem and make adjustments to correct welding problems such as pin holes, undercut and high or low weld.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
  • Learn how to identify welding defects and use weld gauges.
  • Assemble and MIG weld parts following blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Conduct quality inspections of work.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Be flexible in the department and help wherever needed.
