About The Position

This is a Welder role that includes both welding and product assembly duties. Employees can expect to spend approximately 20% of their time welding and 80% building and assembling finished products. The role involves operating welding equipment to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components that form the backbone of truck bodies. The company promotes production leaders from within, with many starting their leadership career in this welder role or a general laborer/assembler role.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a weld test.
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training.
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
• Basic experience with hand tools.
• Able to accurately understand and apply measurements.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing.
• Previous experience working on truck bodies.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with precision.
• Operate heavy equipment such as saws to prepare materials.
• Perform machine setup and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect welds for defects and flaws to ensure top-tier quality standards.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn certifications.
• Conduct rigorous safety and quality checks.
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies.
